The Library Makerspace (BAM) is ready for spooky season! Students did a mini-pumpkin chuckin' activity. They created miniature catapults and modified them for distance, height, and accuracy. Then they tried to shoot candy pumpkins at our cutout ghosts! 🎃

Indian Trail Middle School celebrated its 60th anniversary with an open house on Saturday, September 28. Art Club gets messy!
Our Art Club students got to experience what it's like to paint like Jackson Pollock by experimenting with drip, pour and spatter painting in our beautiful courtyard.




6th grade students are bubbly about BAM!
Our 6th graders made bubble wands using our 3D pens and tested them in our courtyard.
BAM is a monthly activity during study hall. Space is limited to the first 25 students who sign up! Updcoming dates are on the school calendar.




Art Club tackles Abstract Expressionism! Students learned about drip painting, Jackson Pollock, and the Abstract Expressionism movement.

District 202 is proud to recognize our middle school Learning Specialists (from left) Tracy Kirk, Ira Jones Middle School, Stacey Schmidt, Indian Trail Middle School, Sandy Collins, Timber Ridge Middle School, Abel Orelove, John F. Kennedy Middle School, Carrie Offerman, Heritage Grove Middle School, Becky Young, Aux Sable Middle School, and Melissa Graves, Drauden Point Middle School. The Learning Specialist role was established to provide direct instruction and support for students to improve student achievement. Learning Specialists also work side-by-side with teachers by providing support to implement effective instructional practices to ensure high academic achievement of all students.
