We are already looking ahead to next year in terms of Encore Selection for our current 6th and 7th grade students. We will be doing so next Tuesday, December 9th during study halls.
We ask that prior to December 9th, discuss the below options with your student.
Next year’s 7th Graders (current 6th Graders):
Band (all year)
Choir (all year)
Spanish (This is a high school level class that is continues into 8th grade. Students must finish both years to receive high school credit)
Encore (any combination of Encore classes we might be offering. Typically, that consists of Art, STEAM, FACS, or an additional grade-level specific Encore offering. Please see the middle school curriculum guide starting on page 11 for more details). Please note, students DO NOT get to choose their Encore classes, they are placed based on schedule and availability.
Next year’s 8th Graders (current 7th Graders):
Band (all year)
Choir (all year)
Spanish (student MUST have taken Spanish in 7th grade to continue)
Encore (any combination of Encore classes we might be offering. Typically, that consists of Art, STEAM, FACS, or an additional grade-level specific Encore offering. Please have a conversation with your students about what they would like their Encore selection to be for next year and we will take care of having them select it in Home Access Center during study halls next week.
