updated student drop off procedures

The Plainfield Police would like me to remind our families that with the new lane and shoulder construction, you cannot stop on the opposite side of the street (facing Southbound), as you will be blocking traffic and could lead to a safety issue with your student trying to cross Eastern Ave.  The Plainfield Police Department was making traffic stops this morning to educate and warn them.  They will do this for about a week before issuing citations.

Please be sure that you are dropping your student off in the drop-off area along Eastern Ave (facing Northbound).  You need to pull all the way up to the entrance of our driveway, DO NOT stop at the sidewalk leading to the building.  There will be Indian Trail staff along the drop-off area in the coming days to signal and remind parents to pull all the way up.  And please, do not u-turn from the drop-off lane as we continue to have many close calls with cars and buses narrowly missing a parent u-turning without checking for traffic.

Please see this ATTACHED MEMO from the Plainfield Police Department for more specific reminders.  Thank you for your cooperation, and please contact the Indian Trail Main Office if you have any questions.
