Sports Season - Parent Guidelines for Entrance and Tickets

With the sports season starting next week, we wanted to review with you how we will be handling having spectators attend the games.

First of all, you will be able to attend your student’s home games ONLY.  You will not be able to attend away games.  You will be able to live stream all of those games, more information to follow.

Each player will only be able to have TWO spectators attend each game.

How this will work:

  • The day before a game, the coach will hand each player two tickets (personalized for each home game).
  • It is the responsibility of the student to deliver those tickets to their parent/guardian.
  • Due to CDC guidelines, we cannot allow anymore than two spectators per athlete. This includes young siblings sitting on a parent’s lap.  If you try to enter with a non-ticketed person, they will not be allowed in.

Day of the game:

  • Each ticket holder must fill out the back of each of the tickets prior to entering the building. This includes our self-certification questions to verify you are symptom free.  IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OR HAVE BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID, DO NOT ATTEND THE GAME!
  • Spectators will be entering at the main entrance (Door A).
  • Building supervisors will open the door at 3:45pm. For the 8th grade games, the doors will open at approximately 5:15pm.
  • You MUST present your ticket to the building supervisor.
  • They will take your temperature and indicate it on your ticket.
  • Once you enter the building, proceed into the gym.
  • Parent seats will be indicated with green tape.  If you are attending the game with someone in your house/family, you may sit together on the adjacent tape marks. Otherwise, there are plenty of socially distanced tape marks for spectators to set away from one another.

General rules:

  • You MUST have a face mask on properly (covering your nose and mouth) upon entering the building. Anyone in violation of this during the game will be addressed.
  • Absolutely no food or drink. The vending machines and drinking fountains will not be available.
  • If for some reason you need to leave the building, there is no reentry once you exit.
  • The bathrooms in the main foyer will be available for your use.
  • All athletes and spectators must leave in a timely manner after the game to allow for our custodial staff to clean the gym and equipment for the next game.

LIVE STREAMING:

Since we are limited on the number of spectators permitted, we will be live streaming each game.  On the day of the game, there will be an announcement posted on the Indian Trail Webpage.

It will look something like: INDIAN TRAIL VS AUX SABLE: MARCH 3.  Click on that, and it will take you to a YouTube live streaming link.  You will not be able to search for the stream on YouTube, anyone viewing will need to go to the Indian Trail Webpage and follow the link.  **This is a brand, new service we are providing, and we are trying to be proactive in getting this new tech up and running.  We would appreciate your patience in case anything goes wrong.**

Please remember that the health and safety of our students and you, their families are our primary concern. We appreciate your cooperation in meeting all our new guidelines. If you have any questions about this or anything else concerning our sports season, please contact our Athletic Coordinator, Ms. Amy Bishop at abishop@psd202.org.

We are excited to see your student athletes on the court and wish them a great season.
