Indian Trail offers several opportunities for students who need to complete their homework. Whether your student struggles, forgets, or just needs a quiet place to work, Indian Trail can help you out!
P.A.W.S. Peers Assisting With Studying – Students can sign up to go down to the cafeteria during study hall and have an 8th grade accelerated student help them understand a tough concept, assist with an assignment, or study for a test. This is a great way to see Wildcats helping other Wildcats! CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT HOW TO SIGN UP!
Homework Connections – On Mondays and Wednesdays, Ms. Piasecki and Ms. Williamson hosts Homework Connections where they and a group of National Honors Society high school students assist Indian Trail students with their homework. This is a great opportunity for our Indian Trail kids where the high school students are sometimes able to explain materials in a more “kid-friendly” manner. CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT HOW TO SIGN UP!
Period Zero – Join Mrs. Ferris in the mornings in the Media Center if you just need a quiet place to work on an assignment, or type and print something last minute, get dropped off to school early and head on down to the media center. Doors open at 7:30 A.M.
CLAW (Center for Late Assignments and Work) – Students with several missing assignments might be assigned to a CLAW session, in which students will stay after school on a Thursday in order to complete missing work under the guidance of an I.T. teacher.
ASK YOUR TEACHERS! – Still confused about an assignment? You will never find a friendlier, eager-to-help group of educators anywhere. Encourage your student to go to their teacher with questions or concerns they might have. Quite often, our teachers give up their lunch time to have students down to work on assignments, so do not hesitate to ask. That is what we are here for!
INDIAN TRAIL BELIEVES THAT EVERY STUDENT
